Familia de piloto de jet accidentado en Limón prepara funeral, aunque cuerpo no ha aparecido
Rolf Lips era una figura importante de la aviación en Suiza.
Pese a que todavía no ha aparecido el cuerpo de Rolf Lips, el piloto del jet privado que cayó en aguas de Costa Rica el pasado viernes y en el cual viajaba el multimillonario alemán Rainer Schaller con su familia, sus allegados preparan sus honras fúnebres.
Así lo dio a conocer Ilan García, yerno del aviador al medio suizo Le Nouvelliste. Las declaraciones fueron reproducidas en Costa Rica por Amelia Rueda.com.
“Sin cuerpo, no hay certificado de defunción. La distancia que nos separa plantea algunas incertidumbres sobre el transcurso de la ceremonia”, no obstante aseguró al medio suizo que “esta última se llevará a cabo de todos modos”.
García contó al diario suizo que la familia Lips supo de la tragedia el sábado anterior a eso de las 10:00 a.m. cuando se enteraron de la desaparición de la aeronave Piaggio P.180 Avanti que piloteaba Rolf.
“Fue muy brutal”, recordó el familiar del piloto.
Conmovido
Ilan recordó que días antes de la tragedia su yerno le comentó a la familia que estaba muy conmovido por el fallecimiento de Bruno Bagnoud, piloto de Valais que cofundó la aerolínea Air-Glaciers y quien también fue pionero en el rescate de montaña.
Bagnound murió por causas naturales el pasado 9 de octubre, a los 85 años.
Figura importante de la aviación en Suiza
Rolf Lips, de 66 años, fue una figura destacada de la aviación y la viticultura del poblado de Valais, al sur de Suiza.
Se desempeñó como presidente del “Motor Flight Group”, del Aero-Club du Valais, en Sion, participó activamente en el sector de la formación de pilotos y se desempeñó dentro de la Oficina Federal de Aviación Civil (FOCA).
Pero además de los aviones Lips tenía otra pasión, parte de su tiempo lo dedicaba a la elaboración y crianza del vino.
Tomó junto a su esposa las riendas de la bodega Cava Lips en 1990, la cual perteneció a su suegro. Luego Cava Lips pasó a manos de su hija, Aïda, según relata la página web de la bodega.
Este martes las autoridades dieron por finalizado el cuarto día de búsqueda de cuerpos y fuselaje de la aeronave.
Por el momento, solo han aparecido el cuerpo de un menor de edad y de un adulto los cuales no han sido identificados.
Además, se han encontrado varias pertenencias de los pasajeros como bolsos y piezas de la aeronave.
