Rodrigo Chaves decreta el cese de estado de emergencia por covid-19
“Podemos dedicarnos a la pospandemia, reactivar la economía y normalizar nuestra patria”, manifestó el presidente.
El presidente de la República, Rodrigo Chaves Robles, decretó este miércoles el cese del estado de emergencia nacional por la pandemia de la covid-19 declarado en marzo de 2020 para atender la crisis sanitaria y de desempleo.
En la conferencia de prensa realizada posterior al Consejo de Gobierno, el mandatario manifestó que la decisión se tomó porque la pandemia en el país está “controlada” y “los casos de covid-19 van en disminución y no hay ocupación máxima en ningún hospital”.
“Podemos dedicarnos a la pospandemia, reactivar la economía y normalizar nuestra patria (…) La declaratoria se dio producto del estado de necesidad y una urgencia provocada por la pandemia, pero afortunadamente el sistema de emergencias logró apoyar a los costarricenses en el pico más alto”, explicó Chaves.
Por su parte, el presidente de la Comisión Nacional de Emergencias (CNE), Alejandro Picado, dijo que las condiciones para la “apertura de la emergencia ya se diluyeron”, por lo tanto, es recomendable “cesar el decreto y pasar a que los saldos de esta emergencia sean tratados por la vía ordinaria de las instituciones”.
