El emotivo mensaje de víctima de explosión en POPS tras salir del hospital
Karina Alvarado sufrió quemaduras en su cuerpo tras la explosión de un cilindro de óxido nitroso para hacer crema chantilly.
Karina Alvarado, una de las víctimas de la explosión de un cilindro de óxido nitroso en la heladería POPS ubicada en el centro comercial de La Ceiba en Alajuela fue dada de alta.
Tras su salida del Hospital del Trauma, donde fue trasladada desde el Hospital San Juan de Dios con quemaduras en su cuerpo, la joven, de 23 años, quiso agradecer el apoyo que ha recibido.
“Gracias a Dios y a todos los que estuvieron pendientes de mi tengo la dicha de estar en mi casita. Agradecida con Dios, la virgen, la familia, los amigos, y todo el personal médico que estuvo detrás de mi recuperación, de verdad, mil gracias”, escribió Alvarado.
La joven madre de un niño de dos años acompañó su mensaje con una imagen que le dedicó heladerías POPS con unas sentidas palabras.
“En POPS estamos con vos y te esperamos con los brazos abiertos, para pronto seguir generando e inspirando momentos de felicidad juntos”, dice el mensaje.
Cilindro de crema chantilly: el detonante
La explosión de un cilindro de óxido nitroso el pasado sábado 16 de julio en el local de la heladería POPS ubicado en el centro comercial de La Ceiba en Alajuela , provocó que dos mujeres y un hombre fueran llevados en condición muy delicada a hospitales de Alajuela, Heredia y San José, a raíz de la conflagración ocurrida. Otras siete personas fueron trasladadas en condición menos grave.
Dos de las personas graves son empleadas de la heladería alcanzadas por la onda y un tercer paciente fue un distribuidor de productos, identificado como Freddy Suárez, alcanzado por partículas de metal que le dieron en la cabeza.
El Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) y el departamento de Ingeniería del Cuerpo de Bomberos, confirmaron que un cilindro para hacer crema chantilly ocasionó la explosión en la heladería.
Aún no se conoce la razón de la combustión y las autoridades continúan efectuando las investigaciones correspondientes, las cuales, se podrían extender por varios días.
El martes 19 de julio, POPS compartió un comunicado en el que señaló que retiró los cilindros de óxido nitroso de las 103 heladerías que hay en el país.
“Aunque existen varias hipótesis, aún no hay un resultado oficial de las investigaciones. Dado que estos son procesos de verificación que se pueden tratar; decidimos voluntariamente retirar los cilindros de óxido nitroso hasta que conozcamos el reporte final de las autoridades. Queremos que todos nuestros clientes y colaboradores se sigan sintiendo seguros en nuestras heladerías. A partir de este martes 19 de julio estaremos operando con un procedimiento distinto”, aseguró Wilberth Taborda, gerente de POPS.
