Siete datos que debe saber sobre la tormenta tropical ‘Bonnie’

El Instituto Meteorológico Nacional (IMN) advirtió este jueves que los efectos de la tormenta tropical ‘Bonnie’ en el país pueden ser severos. El fenómeno natural llegará a Costa Rica este viernes.
Estos son los siete datos que usted debe saber sobre ‘Bonnie’
1. La tormenta llegará a territorio costarricense entre las 5:00 p.m. y las 6:00 p.m. de este viernes.
2. En 12 horas lloverá lo equivalente a un mes principalmente en las zonas que se encuentran en alerta roja.
3. La Fuerza Pública movilizó 2800 oficiales para reforzar el apoyo a los comités locales de emergencias.
4. La Comisión Nacional de Emergencias (CNE) declaró alerta roja 12 cantones en parte de Guanacaste, zona norte y el Caribe: Liberia, La Cruz, Los Chiles, Guatuso, Upala, San Carlos, Río Cuarto, Sarapiquí, Guácimo, Pococí, Siquirres y Matina.
La vertiente del Pacífico (excepto La Cruz) y Valle Central continuarán en alerta naranja, mientras que el Caribe Sur (Limón, Valle La Estrella y Talamanca) permanece en alerta amarilla, según informó la entidad por medio de un comunicado.
5. La emergencia es similar a la ‘Tormenta Nate’ en 2017.
6. La afectación del ciclón tropical en Costa Rica tendrá una duración de 24 horas.
7. El hecho de que al fenómeno natural se le llame ‘tormenta’ no significa que los efectos se focalizan en un solo punto, sino que puede ocasionar aguaceros importantes en diferentes zonas del territorio nacional.
