Colegiales se manifiestan contra pruebas FARO
Los estudiantes también solicitan mejoras en el sistema educativo y que se cumpla con la ley 7600.
Estudiantes del Liceo José Joaquín Vargas Calvo realizan la mañana de este lunes una manifestación para protestar contra las Pruebas Nacionales para el Fortalecimiento de Aprendizajes para la Renovación de Oportunidades (FARO). Aseguran que no han recibido la preparación necesaria para hacerle frente a las evaluaciones.
Además los colegiales solicitan mejoras en el sistema educativo y que se cumpla con la ley 7600.
El movimiento comenzó a las afueras del centro educativo, en las cercanías de la Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR), y luego se desplazó a la Fuente de la Hispanidad en San Pedro de Montes de Oca.
Se tiene previsto que en el transcurso de la mañana se unan más estudiantes a la manifestación provenientes del Colegio Los Cedros de Montes de Oca y del Liceo Anastasio Alfaro.
La semana anterior el presidente de la República, Rodrigo Chaves, se mostró en total desacuerdo con las pruebas: “no va a haber pruebas FARO este año”, indicó, pero todavía no existe un pronunciamiento oficial por parte del Ministerio de Educación (MEP) sobre su eliminación o que indique si se realizarán, pero sin que tengan valor en las notas.
Además, la decisión de eliminar las pruebas depende exclusivamente del Consejo Superior de Educación (CSE).
