Vicepresidenta Mary Munive asume el Ministerio del Deporte
Para poder atender ambos despachos se generará en el corto plazo un convenio con otras instituciones para el préstamo de plazas.
La segunda vicepresidenta de la República, Mary Munive Angermüller, asume también el Ministerio de Deporte.
Casa Presidencial informó, por medio de un comunicado de prensa, que para atender ambos despachos se generará en el corto plazo un convenio con otras instituciones para el préstamo de plazas.
El Ejecutivo informó que este doble nombramiento “tiene la intención de contar con un direccionamiento político, sin cargar más a la población con salarios”.
El Ministerio de Deporte es un órgano sin cartera, es decir, el jerarca a cargo carece de funciones administrativas y tendrán solamente las competencias que le señale el presidente de la República en el respectivo acuerdo de nombramiento, de acuerdo con el artículo 16 del Reglamento Orgánico del Poder Ejecutivo.
Al respecto, la vicepresidenta de la República indicó: “Esto lo hago tras el llamado que ha realizado la sociedad costarricense para garantizar la hoja de ruta plasmada en la política nacional para el deporte, recreación y actividad física”.
El objetivo de la nueva Ministra del Deporte, es promover la salud y prevenir enfermedades acuerpando el direccionamiento político de la institución que tiene como propósito promover entornos, condiciones para la práctica de la actividad física y recreación, así como el apoyo al deporte competitivo.
Además, el compromiso de la ministra es fortalecer a las entidades que se comprometan a ser motores de desarrollo social y deportivo.
“Junto al Instituto Costarricense del Deporte, ICODER, como ente rector en el deporte, vamos a apoyar y estimular la práctica individual y colectiva del deporte y la recreación de los habitantes de muchas comunidades del país lo cual es fundamental para la salud integral de la población”, concluyó la jerarca.
