Jerarca del MOPT se disculpa: “No era mi intención ofender a la Monarquía Española”
Luis Amador realizó polémico comentario al referirse al contrato de Riteve.
Luis Amador, ministro de Obras Públicas y Transportes (MOPT) brindó el pasado viernes unas polémicas declaraciones al periódico La República al referirse al contrato de Riteve.
Amador, indicó al medio que hasta que la empresa española no firme la entrega del equipo y las instalaciones como corresponde de acuerdo con el contrato actual, el gobierno de Rodrigo Chaves no negociará con esa compañía una eventual prórroga.
“El rey de España y el embajador de ese país pueden llamar, pero yo no me siento a negociar hasta que esté firmada esa donación; es decir, el gobierno necesita tener posesión de las instalaciones y los equipos. El problema, es que ellos convocan a su reunión de accionistas hasta final de mes, como queriendo dejar poco tiempo a este ministerio”, declaró.
El jerarca del MOPT aclaró este sábado en Consejo de Gobierno que su intención nunca fue ofender a la Monarquía Española si no que habló de esa forma como una analogía para señalar que su gestión se debe a los costarricenses y es a quienes debe defender.
“En relación con mis manifestaciones publicadas por La República deseo aclarar que en ningún momento mi intención fue ofender a la Monarquía Española. Utilice esta analogía para hacer ver que mi gestión se debe a todos los costarricenses y que son sus intereses los que me comprometí en juramento a defender y así lo haré. Lamento si mis palabras causaron molestia y ofrezco las disculpas del caso”, dijo Amador.
El ministro del MOPT recordó que la firma de la donación debe estar lista en estos días para que entre en vigencia el 15 de julio, fecha en que vence el contrato.
