Ministra de Educación asegura que hay “razones técnicas suficientes” para eliminar pruebas FARO
Anna Katharina Müller indicó que la eliminación de las pruebas debe ser analizada por el Consejo Superior de Educación.
La tarde de este sábado el presidente Rodrigo Chaves Robles anunció que ya no se realizarán las pruebas de Fortalecimiento de Aprendizajes para la Renovación de Oportunidades (FARO) en los centros educativos del país.
“La decisión está tomada y anunciada: no va a haber más pruebas FARO, así de fácil. No significa que no vamos a evaluar el aprendizaje, pero de la misma manera que había prometido romper el convenio (de educación) con Cuba, también había dicho que las pruebas FARO no son lo que necesita el país y ya eso está decidido. No es que lo hemos pensado, ya tomamos la decisión”, indicó Chaves durante su gira por San Carlos.
Ante las declaraciones del presidente la jerarca de Educación, Anna Katharina Müller, indicó que trabaja en una propuesta que presentará ante el Consejo Superior de Educación (CSE) con la recomendación de que se eliminen.
“Desde mi despacho, como Ministra de Educación hemos venido trabajando con un equipo técnico del MEP en una propuesta que presentaré al Consejo Superior de Educación para eliminar las pruebas FARO”, expresó Müller en una publicación en Facebook.
“Existen razones técnicas suficientes que amparan esta recomendación, la cual será analizada por el Consejo próximamente. El Consejo se va a reunir luego de que se publique el nombramiento de la persona que llenará el puesto vacante en este momento”, agregó.
Las pruebas FARO se ejecutaron en el MEP desde el 2019.
