Ministra de Salud llama a: “Ejercer responsablemente derecho sobre uso de mascarilla”
Joselyn Chacón indicó que en caso de presentarse un aumento de casos se puede revertir el decreto.
La jerarca de la cartera de Salud, Joselyn Chacón Madrigal, se refirió sobre el decreto que firmó el presidente de la República, Rodrigo Chaves Robles, que eliminó la obligatoriedad del uso de la mascarilla en lugares cerrados, así como de la vacunación contra la covid-19.
Por medio de un comunicado de prensa Chacón indicó que confía en la buena educación en salud de los costarricenses, por lo que la decisión de usar o no la mascarilla será “de forma prudente y responsable”.
La ministra explicó que el Ministerio de Salud vigilará el comportamiento del virus SARS-CoV-2 y que en caso de: “Haber aumentos importantes en contagios y número de pacientes hospitalizados, el levantamiento de la obligatoriedad del uso de la mascarilla se puede revertir para proteger a la población”.
La doctora también se refirió al tema de la vacunación. Insistió en la necesidad de hacer campañas masivas para que se coloque la tercera dosis contra la covid-19 a la mayor cantidad de personas posibles, ya que mientras un 80 % de la población tiene ambas inmunizaciones, solo el 43 % posee la dosis de refuerzo.
“Aunque el uso de la mascarilla no es obligatorio en sitios que no sean centros de salud o de atención a pacientes, las personas pueden utilizarla como forma de protección personal contra enfermedades como la covid-19”, manifestó.
