Fuerza Pública decomisa ocho gallos de pelea en San Ramón de Alajuela
Actividad se anunció en redes sociales y las autoridades intervinieron.
La Fuerza Pública decomisó ocho gallos que eran utilizados para peleas ilegales el sábado anterior en San Ramón de Alajuela.
De acuerdo con las autoridades la actividad, que se iba a realizar en la localidad de Valle Azul, había sido anunciada previamente en las redes sociales.
El aviso indicaba de premios de hasta 300 mil colones y que se jugaría con el reglamento internacional.
Ante esta situación, la Fuerza Pública, se anticipó al evento para evitar que se realizara. Al llegar al sitio los policías observaron un vehículo al cual le ordenaron detenerse
En el automotor viajaban cuatro personas y, dentro del mismo, los oficiales observaron varias bolsas que se utilizan generalmente para transportar gallos de pelea.
Los uniformados coordinaron con la Fiscalía la cual ordenó realizar acta de inspección del vehículo para verificar mejor la situación.
Los agentes procedieron y decomisaron un total de ocho gallos, todos vivos, los cuales posiblemente iban a ser jugados en el evento. Además, ubicaron varios utensilios comúnmente usados en este ilegal negocio.
Los oficiales realizaron el informe policial, coordinaron con el Servicio Nacional de Salud Animal (Senasa) para la entrega de las aves y los sujetos que las transportaban quedaron en libertad.
Las peleas de gallos están prohibidas en el país desde el año 1980.
