Gobierno inicia preparativos para traspaso de poderes del 8 de mayo
El Poder Ejecutivo declaró de interés público los actos y ceremonias relacionados con la transmisión del mando presidencial 2022.
Faltan pocos días para que la administración de Carlos Alvarado Quesada llegue a su fin. Por eso el Gobierno de la República anunció que inició con los preparativos para el traspaso de poderes que se realizará el próximo domingo 8 de mayo.
Por medio de un comunicado de prensa Casa Presidencial informó que el acto será “austero, digno, y decoroso porque es fundamental para la institucionalidad democrática”.
Este martes se publicó en el Diario Oficial La Gaceta el decreto N°43354-RE, en que se declaran de interés público todos los actos y ceremonias relacionados con la transmisión del mando presidencial del 8 de mayo del 2022.
Con el fin de colaborar con la realización de los eventos, el Consejo de Gobierno acordó solicitar “las facilidades y la cooperación requeridas a la Comisión de Traspaso de Poderes adscrita al Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto” a la administración pública central y a las instituciones autónomas. Se aclaró, además, que la colaboración sea “en la medida de sus posibilidades, dentro del marco de sus competencias y en estricto apego al ordenamiento jurídico”.
“Costa Rica es una democracia muy respetada en el mundo. Es importante que apoyemos para que sea un acto lucido, ordenado, serio, solemne y, a la vez, una fiesta democrática”, expresó el Presidente de la República, Carlos Alvarado, al Consejo de Gobierno.
El canciller Rodolfo Solano detalló que en los próximos días se contactará a los jerarcas con el fin de precisar el tipo de asistencia que se requiere para continuar con la organización de la actividad.
En el acto Carlos Alvarado le entregará la banda presidencial al próximo mandatario que se definirá en segunda ronda electoral el 3 de abril.
José María Figueres, del Partido Liberación Nacional (PLN) y Rodrigo Chaves, del Partido Progreso Social Democrático (PSD) se disputarán la Presidencia de la República. Uno de ellos será el cuadragésimo noveno presidente de Costa Rica.
