(Video) Glenda Umaña da lección de periodismo a sus colegas de Multimedios
La connotada periodista no dudó en expresar su molestia ante los comentarios de sus compañeros en la cobertura de las elecciones presidenciales del domingo anterior.
“El periodista no es ni debe ser juez. Se debe limitar a registrar los hechos y a hacerlos entender”, dicen hasta el cansancio los profesores en la universidad, idea que respaldó la connotada periodista costarricense, Glenda Umaña, durante la cobertura de las elecciones presidenciales del domingo anterior.
Resulta que en el programa de Multimedios Meta 22 los periodistas Natalia García, Alberto Padilla, junto al gerente de las noticias de la televisora Henry Rodríguez y el Premio Nacional de Periodismo Pío Víquez 2009, Cristian Cambronero, realizaban un análisis a pocas horas de conocerse la decisión final.
Pero hubo varios comentarios por parte de los periodistas que inquietaron a Umaña quien no dudó en interrumpir a sus compañeros para hacerles una observación y de paso darles una clase de periodismo.
“Yo lo que quería decir… eh difiero… me parece muy buena la pregunta, pero yo no estoy de acuerdo y no pienso que sea correcto, ese es digamos mi lineamiento que nosotros en este programa estemos diciendo nosotros mismos quien nos cae bien y cuál candidato no nos cae bien. No sé me siento un poco incómoda por eso porque yo pienso que estamos en un programa de opinión y es la audiencia la que tiene que hacer sus interpretaciones y su valoración me parece a mí”, indicó Glenda.
Mientras sus compañeros tragaban grueso a cuadro.
“Yo a veces me voy un poquito al extremo aunque me llama la atención y más estando como a horas de la votación entonces no sé pienso que cualquier cosa que nosotros digamos en este momento a favor o en contra de cualquiera de los candidatos puede tener un impacto aunque muchos se identifiquen y digan bueno yo pienso así. Eso es lo que les quería decir, pienso que deberíamos dejar que sea la misma población la que haga sus interpretaciones, la que saque sus conclusiones de la información que nosotros le podamos dar”, finalizó la periodista quien cuenta con 36 años de trayectoria en el periodismo, 18 de ellos en CNN en Español.
