Deslizamiento de tierra sepulta vacas y destruye lechería en Alvarado de Cartago
Productor afectado aseguró que las pérdidas económicas superan los ₡2.600.000.
Las lluvias intensas de los últimos días provocaron un deslizamiento de tierra que destruyó el invernadero donde el productor Carlos Javier Carvajal Quirós tenía su lechería en Alvarado de Cartago.
Según informa el periódico La Nación, Carvajal, alquila un terreno en Birris de Pacayas en el que alberga seis vacas y un equipo de ordeño.
El productor, contó al periódico que cayó “una bomba de agua” encima de los animales y que no pudo hacer nada para detenerla.
“Demasiada agua ha caído estos días, hasta ahora se ve esto. Eran solo seis novillas de primer cuarto de raza Jersey que tenía para producción de leche, pero como llovió exageradamente se saturó un paredón del lado arriba de un vecino y se desbarrancó”, contó el cartaginés.
“Un amigo me ayudó a sacar a las vivas y pude llevarlas a otro lugar que él me prestó mientras tanto. Las otras muertas no se han podido sacar por la dificultad del ingreso y porque se ocupa un backhoe para remover el paredón que se vino”, comentó el afectado.
El hombre aseguró que las pérdidas económicas superan los ₡2.600.000 y que ahora tendrá que comenzar de nuevo con su negocio con las dos reses que sobrevivieron y “con la ayuda de Dios”.
