Dueño de MECO permanecerá en celdas de máxima seguridad en La Reforma
Carlos Cerdas estará en aislamiento por 14 días.
El empresario Carlos Cerdas, propietario de la constructora MECO, ya se encuentra en celdas de máxima seguridad en el centro penitenciario La Reforma, en San Rafael de Alajuela, donde descontará cuatro meses de prisión preventiva por estar implicado en el caso “Cochinilla”.
Cerdas fue trasladado desde los Tribunales del II Circuito Judicial en Goicoechea hacia La Reforma en un vehículo de cárceles del Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ).
«Hace pocos minutos, el señor Cerdas ingresó al Complejo Occidente, en San Rafael de Alajuela, para cumplir con su período de aislamiento en un espacio individual del Centro Nacional de Atención Específica», informó el Ministerio de Justicia y Paz.
En principio el propietario de MECO deberá cumplir 14 días de aislamiento en los cuartos de visita conyugal, luego será ubicado en otro recinto.
Antecedentes
La tarde del 28 de junio fue liberado a cambio de una fianza de cinco millones de dólares. La fianza fue interpuesta por la jueza Carolina Lizano, del Juzgado Penal del II Circuito Judicial de San José en la audiencia de medidas cautelares.
Sin embargo, este lunes el juez Hugo Porter, del Tribunal Penal del II Circuito Judicial, ordenó suspender la medida cautelar de la libertad y aseguró que debe cumplir con la prisión preventiva por cuatro meses.
