Gobierno de Costa Rica condena asesinato del presidente de Haití, Jovenel Moïse
El mandatario de 53 años murió mientras dormía en su domicilio por los disparos de unos asaltantes que no han sido identificados.
Luego de conocerse la noticia del asesinato del presidente de la República de Haití, Jovenel Moïse, ocurrido en su residencia en Puerto Príncipe; el Gobierno del presidente Carlos Alvarado a través de la Cancillería condenó enérgicamente el violento hecho.
“El Gobierno de Costa Rica condena el asesinato del presidente de la República de Haití, tras un asalto armado perpetrado a su residencia y en el que, además, resultó seriamente herida su señora esposa”, indica el comunicado emitido por el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriones y Culto.
El mandatario Carlos Alvarado también realizó una publicación al respecto.
“Condeno el asesinato del presidente de Haití, Jovenel Moïse, y el ataque a la primera dama Martine Moïse. Ninguna situación política justifica actos criminales de violencia. Solidaridad a su familia y al pueblo haitiano. Que prevalezcan la estabilidad, institucionalidad y diálogo”, escribió Alvarado en su cuenta de Twitter.

De acuerdo con información preliminar, Jovenel Moïse, fue asesinado durante la madrugada de este miércoles por hombres armados que ingresaron a la residencia presidencial.
Una publicación del periódico El País de España, indica que Moïse, estaba durmiendo junto a su esposa cuando un comando que hablaba español e inglés, según el comunicado oficial de las autoridades haitianas, asaltó la elegante vivienda, entró en su habitación y disparó contra él. El mandatario, de 53 años, falleció al instante y su esposa se encontraba estable, con una bala fragmentada dentro del cuerpo.
El fallecimiento del presidente Moïse fue confirmado por el primer ministro interino de la isla caribeña Claude Joseph.
