Encuentran muerto a científico ruso que trabajaba en investigación sobre el cáncer
El cuerpo de Alexander Kagansky fue hallado con signos de violencia en San Petersburgo. Testigo manifestó que el biólogo cayó desde el piso 14 de un edificio.
El cadáver del reconocido científico Alexander Kagansky fue encontrado al lado de un edificio de varios pisos en el distrito Kalininsky, en San Petersburgo, Rusia. El hecho sucedió el sábado 19 de diciembre.
Según informó Interfax, el cuerpo del biólogo de 45 años fue hallado solo en ropa interior con evidentes signos de violencia, por lo que la Policía sospecha que fue un asesinato. Como consecuencia, arrestó a Igor Ivanov, un amigo al que había ido a visitar.
“Los órganos de investigación del Comité de Investigación de Rusia en San Petersburgo han abierto una causa penal por un delito previsto en la parte 1 del artículo 105 del Código Penal de la Federación de Rusia (asesinato)”, indicaron en un comunicado.
Sin embargo, de acuerdo con la versión de un testigo, un contacto en común del biólogo y del sospechoso de asesinato, Kagansky se cayó por la ventana.
En declaraciones para un medio local, el testigo expresó que el biólogo se comportaba raro. Según él, el científico tomó un cuchillo y se apuñaló con él. Tuvo un forcejeo con Ivanov y fue entonces cuando presuntamente corrió hacia el balcón y se cayó desde el piso 14, lo cual ocasionó su muerte.
Kagansky trabajó en laboratorios en San Petersburgo, Washington y Edimburgo. Además, dirigió el Centro de Medicina Genómica y Regenerativa de la Universidad Federal del Lejano Oriente en Vladivostok. Se sabe también que buscaba una cura para el cáncer.
