OIJ halla ₡34 millones en efectivo en la oficina del propietario de MECO
La policía judicial también encontró tres teléfonos celulares en el baño de la oficina de Carlos Cerdas el pasado 14 de junio.
El pasado lunes 14 de junio, fecha en la que se realizaron múltiples allanamientos por el caso “Cochinilla”, los agentes del Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) hicieron una revisión de varias oficinas del edificio principal de la constructora MECO, ubicado en La Uruca.
Una de ellas fue la del propietario de la constructora, Carlos Cerdas, en la se encontró poco más de ₡34 millones en efectivo en una caja fuerte.
A las 7:28 a.m. inició la revisión de la oficina de Cerdas que se ubica en el tercer piso del inmueble.
“En la oficina de Carlos Cerdas, punto número 1 como evidencia número 1 en el baño se localizan tres teléfonos celulares: un teléfono Motorola, un teléfono Blackberry y otro teléfono Blackberry, se desconoce el funcionamiento de los 3”, indica el acta.
“Evidencia número 4, se fijan fotográficamente dos sobres de manila, se procede a la apertura de la caja fuerte, se encuentra dinero en efectivo y se resguarda como evidencia número 5: 2601 billetes de 20 dólares, 110 billetes de 10 dólares, 115 billetes de 5 dólares, 1 billete de 1 dólar, 54 billetes de 10 mil colones, 26 billetes de 5 mil colones, 38 billetes de 2 mil y 20 billetes de 1000 al ser las 10:14 a.m finaliza la diligencia en la oficina de Carlos Cerdas”, indica el documento judicial.
El dinero encontrado en la caja fuerte y que es parte de la evidencia asciende a los $53696 además de ₡766 mil. El dinero encontrado por los agentes judiciales es un poco más de ₡34 millones.
Sobre las evidencias de dicho operativo, el Ministerio Público, aseguró a Telenoticias que no se referirá ya que: “Forma parte del acervo probatorio de la investigación la cual esta protegida por la privacidad de las actuaciones según el artículo 295 del Código Procesal Penal”.
Por el caso “Cochinilla” se investiga a funcionarios del Gobierno y de empresas privadas por la supuesta malversación de fondos destinados a la construcción de obra pública.
