Joven de 16 años murió tras ser atropellada por conductora sin licencia
En el hecho también resultó herido el novio de la fallecida.
Una joven de 16 años de edad perdió trágicamente la vida tras ser atropellada por una conductora sin permiso de conducir en Paraíso de Cartago.
Se trata de Mariángel Ortíz Brenes, quien cursaba el décimo año en el Colegio San Luis Gonzaga en Cartago. El lamentable hecho ocurrió en la urbanización Llanos de Santa Lucía, el domingo 12 de julio a las 3:00 p.m.
Según recoge una publicación de diario La Teja, la muchacha se encontraba lavando el carro de su madre, que estaba parqueado frente a su casa, en compañía de su novio cuando una conductora de apellido Solano Brenes perdió el control del auto, chocó contra el vehículo estacionado y prensó a la joven contra el carro y la pared, esto le causó fuertes golpes en el tórax.
Los reportes indican que Solano Brenes quiso doblar en sentido oeste a este pero al hacer la maniobra se encontró con el otro carro, eso la asustó y se estrelló contra el vehículo que los jóvenes limpiaban.
La colegial era hija de Fauricio Ortiz, profesor de Estudios Sociales del Liceo de Paraíso. Le sobrevive un hermano de tres años y su hermana, una bebita.
Susto mortal
De acuerdo con La Teja, la conductora de apellidos Solano Brenes es vecina de la zona donde ocurrió la fatalidad y no contaba con permiso para conducir.
En apariencia el esposo le estuvo enseñando a conducir, pero el domingo anterior sufrió un quebranto de salud lo que hizo que Solano tomara las llaves del vehículo para ir a comprar unas medicinas.
“La prueba de aliento a la conductora dio negativo, no se le decomisó el vehículo por el tema de la pandemia, se le decomisaron las placas”, indicó el oficial de tránsito Gustavo Ordoñez al rotativo.
Solano Brenes quedó a la espera de medidas cautelares.
