Hombres detenidos por ser sospechosos de enviar droga en ambulancia quedaron libres
Los hombres de apellido Elizondo y Vargas fueron detenidos este lunes 13 de noviembre, y a pesar de que quedaron libres quedaron con medidas cautelares.
Luego de que este lunes se diera la detención de dos hombres de apellidos Elizondo de 51 años y Vargas de 32 años, por ser sospechosos de integrar una banda que presuntamente movía droga en ambulancias y vehículos de la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS), el Ministerio Público confirmó que los sujetos quedaron en libertad.
Si bien quedaron libres, los hombres deberán presentarse a firmar periódicamente, mantener domicilio fijo y además, se les estableció un impedimento de salida del país.
De acuerdo con la investigación de este caso, Elizondo, quien es funcionario del Hospital Tony Facio en Limón, sería el líder de la organización y el presunto responsable de coordinar los envíos del estupefaciente, a este último también se le prohibió utilizar vehículos de la CCSS.
Con respecto a Vargas al parecer, le ayudaba a Elizondo y transportó en varias ocasiones droga del Caribe a la capital y viceversa.
Cabe destacar que junto a Elizondo y Vargas, hay cuatro personas más imputadas que fueron detenidas entre el 8 de marzo del año pasado y el 12 de setiembre de este año.
Las primeras dos personas detenidas fueron dos hombres de apellidos Gutiérrez y Aguilar, quienes fueron capturados cuando transportaban 15 kilos de cocaína, ambos ya fueron procesados y sentenciados a siete años de prisión cada uno.
En cuanto a la tercera persona, es apellidado Marín Guillén, fue detenido con 1.5 kilogramos de marihuana, fue detenido el pasado 25 de abril, de momento el caso de este sospechoso sigue en investigación y de momento debe firmar cada 15 días, mantener domicilio fijo y no realizar transporte de personas en ambulancia, como medidas cautelares.
Finalmente, en setiembre de este año, una mujer de apellidos, Nelson Pinnock, fue aprehendida cuando transitaba por Heredia con tres paquetes de marihuana y casi ₡5.5 millones. Tras su captura, se le sentenció a siete años mediante el proceso expedito de flagrancia.
En las intervenciones pasadas realizadas por la PCD sobre este caso, lograron decomisar un total de 15 kilos de cocaína, tres kilos y medio de marihuana, más de 6 millones de colones y $1.000 dólares en efectivo.
