(Fotos y video) Autoridades desarticulan banda dedicada al tráfico internacional de droga por medio de contenedores
Los allanamientos se realizaron en diferentes partes del país.
Desde la madrugada de este martes 17 de enero, agentes del Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) están realizando varios allanamientos, que tienen como objetivo desarticular una banda dedicada al tráfico internacional de droga.
Dichos allanamientos se realizaron en lugares como Limón, San Carlos, Golfito y Cartago, y según trascendió de momento las autoridades han detenido a nueve de las 14 personas que tenían como objetivo capturar.
De acuerdo al informe judicial sobre este caso el cual calificado como muy importante, la investigación inició en setiembre de 2021, cuando el OIJ recibió información de los presuntos traslados de droga, en contenedores que transportaban diferentes frutas desde Limón hacia Europa.
Según indicaron las autoridades, inicialmente la Policía de Control de Drogas (PCD) recibió una alerta sobre un cargamento con destino a Londres, por lo que dieron aviso a la policía de Limón, quienes lograron el decomiso de un cargamento de 537 kilos de cocaína el 17 de julio de 2022. Siguiendo con las investigaciones, el OIJ, logró frenar el traslado de droga en dos ocasiones. Uno de estos decomisos se realizó el 22 de setiembre de 2022, cuando banda pretendía enviar 655 kilos de cocaína a España en un contenedor que transportaba jugo de piña. Y el otro se hizo el 13 de noviembre de 2022 cuando se logró encontrar 840 kilos de la droga tipo cocaína, en la revisión de un contenedor que iba con destino a Bélgica y estaba ingresado en la terminal de APM en Limón.
En dichas investigaciones realizadas por estos casos, las autoridades lograron ligar a 14 personas, quienes conforman un aparente grupo criminal, y el cual en apariencia tienen relación con empresas que brinda servicios de logística a la empresa APM Terminals, entre otros.
Con respecto a los allanamientos realizados este martes, los agentes decomisaron vehículos de alta gama, camiones y la anotación de propiedades que presuntamente provienen del negocio ilícito.
El operativo policial contó con la participación de 250 agentes de distintas secciones del DICR, así como de agentes destacados en la Delegación Regional de Limón, también de las unidades caninas del OIJ y de la Fuerza Pública y los grupos de choque del Servicio Especial de Respuesta Táctica (SERT) del OIJ, la Unidad Especial de Apoyo (UEA) de la Fuerza Pública y los Grupos de Apoyo Operacional (GAO) de la Presidencia de la República.
