Detienen a dos costarricenses y a dos nicaragüenses por trasladar droga en una lancha por el Pacífico
La operación se desarrolló la noche de este lunes y se extendió hasta este martes.
Según dio a conocer el Ministerio de Seguridad Pública (MSP) en las últimas horas dieron con la detención de cuatro hombres (dos costarricenses y dos nicaragüense), quienes son sospechosos de trasladar un importante cargamento de droga en una lancha por el Pacífico, a 20 kilómetros de Quepos.
Asimismo, las autoridades indicaron que la operación donde se dio dicha detención se desarrolló la noche del lunes y que se extendió durante el martes y que además, contó con el apoyo de autoridades estadounidenses, por lo que participaron dos lanchas interceptoras del Servicio Nacional de Guardacostas, un avión patrullero estadounidense y agentes de la Policía de Control de Drogas.
Ante dicha denuncia, las dos lanchas del Guardacostas que se mantenían en la zona, guiadas por el avión estadounidense, dieron persecución a la embarcación sospechosa, la cual fue localizada finalmente a 11 millas náuticas de Quepos (unos 20 kilómetros).
En cuanto a los ocupantes de la embarcación, informaron las autoridades que al ellos notar su presencia, procedieron a arrojar al agua su cargamento con el objetivo de poder escapar sin las evidencias, pero esto finalmente fueron sorprendidos.
Dicha embarcación tipo panga de aproximadamente 36 pies de largo, con tenía nombre, tampoco matrícula y de bandera costarricense, poseía dos motores de 300 caballos de fuerza cada uno.

Con respecto a lo decomisado, los oficiales tras realizar una exhaustiva búsqueda, localizaron la carga ilícita en el agua y la cual fue llevada hasta Quepos.
Las autoridades determinaron que se trataba de un total de 1.178 paquetes, de estos, 1.062 con marihuana y 116 con cocaína, cada uno con un peso aproximado a un kilogramo.

Los decomisado y los detenidos quedaron en manos de las autoridades respectivas quienes determinarán la situación jurídica de estos hombres.
