Carlos Cerdas permanecerá en Máxima Seguridad solo 14 días
La presencia del dueño de la constructora MECO comienza a generar malestar entre la población penitenciaria.
Carlos Cerdas, propietario de la constructora MECO, permanecerá en el Centro Nacional de Atención Específica, Máxima Seguridad de la cárcel La Reforma, solo por 14 días mientras finaliza su aislamiento por protocolos sanitarios en relación al Covid-19.
Así lo informó el Ministerio de Justicia y Paz al medio CRHoy. Luego de ese tiempo, el empresario será trasladado a otro centro penal que no sería el complejo occidente ubicado en San Rafael de Alajuela.
“La presencia del señor Cerdas en el Centro Nacional de Atención Específica obedece única y exclusivamente al periodo de aislamiento de 14 días establecido en el Lineamiento para la Atención de la Emergencia Sanitaria por la pandemia Covid-19. Una vez cumplido ese período, Adaptación Social lo remitirá al centro donde le corresponderá descontar la prisión preventiva. Una vez que se defina, se comunicará de forma oportuna”, explicó la entidad al medio.
Los policías penitenciarios han expresado su molestia a sus jefes porque, el dueño de la constructora MECO estaría recibiendo tratos especiales.
Carlos Cerdas, fue detenido el pasado lunes 14 de junio por el caso “Cochinilla” en el que se investiga a funcionarios del Gobierno y de empresas privadas por la supuesta malversación de fondos destinados a la construcción de obra pública.
La tarde del 28 de junio fue liberado a cambio de una fianza de cinco millones de dólares. La fianza fue interpuesta por la jueza Carolina Lizano, del Juzgado Penal del II Circuito Judicial de San José en la audiencia de medidas cautelares.
Sin embargo, este lunes el juez Hugo Porter, del Tribunal Penal del II Circuito Judicial, ordenó suspender la medida cautelar de la libertad y aseguró que debe cumplir con la prisión preventiva por cuatro meses.
