Autoridades detienen a un hombre de 38 años sospechoso de matar a una adulta mayor de 67 años
El sujeto deberá pasar los próximos seis meses en prisión preventiva.
Tras nueve meses de estar en fuga, este lunes 30 de octubre se dio a conocer que un sujeto de apellidos Mejías González, de 38 años, deberá pasar los próximos seis meses tras las rejas en prisión preventiva por ser uno de los principales sospechosos de matar a la adulta mayor a inicios de este año.
De acuerdo con el reporte de las autoridades judiciales de Liberia, Mejía fue capturado en Alajuela, este viernes 27 de octubre.
La víctima mortal de este caso fue identificada como Rosalbina Fuentes Palacios, de 67 años.
“Ingresaron a robar a la vivienda de la hoy fallecida y su hermana, ambas adultas mayores, a quienes luego de maniatar y poner trapos en sus bocas, procedieron a llevarse, bienes materiales de las mismas. Como consecuencia de las acciones una de las mujeres falleció asfixiada”, detalló el Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ).
Tras la detención, Mejía, fue presentado en el Juzgado de Liberia, donde el Juez Penal lo envió a prisión preventiva.
