Ministerio de Salud desmiente la décima muerte por COVID-19 en Costa Rica
El Ministerio de Salud descarta un nuevo fallecimiento por COVID-19.
Esta noche se informó sobre una supuesta décima muerte de COVID-19 en Costa Rica, sin embargo la información fue desmentida por el Ministerio de Salud.
Durante la pandemia del COVID-19 el Ministerio de Salud ha destacado por informar de forma oportuna cuando ocurra un fallecimiento por la enfermedad.
‘’La verificación de la fuente oficial es vital, mucho más cuando hablamos de temas con alta sensibilidad.
Siempre les informaremos de forma oportuna y veraz los lamentables fallecimientos producto de la emergencia por COVID-19, respetando el dolor de las familias afectadas.

Reporte COVID-19
Al 15 de mayo se registran 13 nuevos casos de COVID-19, para un total de 843 casos confirmados, con un rango de edad de cero a 87 años. Se trata de 384 mujeres y 459 hombres, de los cuales 712 son costarricenses y 131 extranjeros.
Asimismo, se registran ocho casos nuevos de transportistas a los que no se les autorizó el ingreso a Costa Rica por tener resultado positivo en la prueba COVID-19, llegando a un total de 31 transportistas.
Se contabilizan casos positivos en 69 cantones. Por edad tenemos: 751 adultos, 43 adultos mayores y 49 menores de edad.
Se registran 542 personas recuperadas en 59 cantones, con un rango de edad de uno a los 86 años, de las cuales 263 son mujeres y 279 son hombres, por edad tenemos: 488 adultos, 27 adultos mayores y 27 menores de edad.
A este momento se han descartado 12.260 personas.
Se registran nueve lamentables fallecimientos, 18 personas se encuentran hospitalizadas, cinco de ellas se encuentran en cuidados intensivos con un rango de edad de los 53 a los 75 años.
A hoy se han procesado un total de 18.655 muestras.
