Doloroso: Este sábado fallecieron dos abuelitas por COVID-19
Tenían 78 y 87 años de edad.
El país registró esta noche el décimo cuarto fallecimiento de un paciente COVID-19, se trata de una mujer de 87 años, costarricense, que residía en la provincia San José.
El deceso ocurrió en el Centro Especializado de Atención de Pacientes con COVID-19 (CEACO) donde se encontraba internada desde el 25 de junio. La mujer fue diagnosticada con COVID-19 el 23 de junio.
La fallecida, además de la edad, no tenía otros factores de riesgo para enfermar gravemente por COVID-19, sin embargo, sí tenía otros padecimientos de fondo que complicaron su condición.
Este es el segundo fallecimiento que ocurre este sábado, luego de que esta mañana una mujer de 78 años falleció.
El deceso ocurrió en el Hospital San Juan de Dios donde se encontraba internada desde el 24 de junio en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos. La mujer dio positivo por COVID-19 el mismo día que fue ingresada a UCI.
La fallecida, además de la edad, padecía de hipertensión arterial y diabetes, factores de riesgo ante el COVID-19.

Al 27 de junio se registran 143 nuevos casos de COVID-19, para un total de 2979 casos confirmados, con un rango de edad de cero a 94 años. Se trata de 1313 mujeres y 1666 hombres, de los cuales 2182 son costarricenses, 793 son extranjeros y 4 se encuentran en investigación.
Se contabilizan casos positivos en 79 cantones. Por edad tenemos: 2326 adultos, 140 adultos mayores y 442 menores de edad y 71 se encuentran en investigación.
Se registran 1325 personas recuperadas en 73 cantones. Los casos recuperados tienen un rango de edad de cero a los 92 años, de las cuales 620 son mujeres y 705 son hombres, por edad tenemos: 1102 adultos, 60 adultos mayores, 152 menores de edad y 11 se encuentran en investigación.
