Vehículos que circulen sin “bumper” se exponen a multas
La ley también establece sanción por transitar con un plástico en lugar de parabrisas.
La Ley de Tránsito establece en su artículo 32 una sanción a los conductores que circulen sin bumper (parachoques). De igual forma es ilegal conducir sin alguno de los parabrisas, el delantero o trasero, ya sea que no se porte nada o se coloque un plástico en su lugar.
“Comprendemos claramente que algunas personas están esperando que la agencia les traiga el parabrisas, y quieren circular mientras eso ocurre, pero se contraviene el artículo 32 y otras normas, como portar en el parabrisas los adhesivos de marchamo, de la inspección técnica y de la placa”, declaró German Marín, director de la Policía de Tránsito.
También en el artículo 32 se indica que para circular a derecho se debe portar una bocina en buen estado, un velocímetro que, como su nombre lo indica, debe estar expresado en kilómetros. Si el carro trae otra unidad de medida, como millas, pero a la vez trae la de kilómetros, no hay problema.
Con respecto a los cinturones de seguridad deben ser de tres puntos en los asientos laterales, salvo que por su naturaleza constructiva no sea posible. En ese caso, deberán ser, al menos, subabdominales, como suele ser el cinturón del asiento del centro de la fila trasera de los sedanes.
La multa por incumplir esta norma es de aproximadamente ₡23 mil de acuerdo con el artículo 147, inciso v) de la Ley de Tránsito.
