Transportistas suspenden paro general, tras reunión con autoridades del Gobierno
Los representantes del transporte público estiman una disminución del 50 % de sus viajes desde que inició la pandemia por la Covid-19.
Los representantes de los transportistas, autobuseros y taxistas decidieron suspender de forma temporal el paro general convocado para este martes, esto luego de una reunión con las autoridades de Gobierno.
Esto mientras avanzan las negociaciones en las mesas de trabajo que se realizan mediante una comisión liderada por el Consejo de Transporte Público (CTP), el Ministerio de Obras Públicas y Transportes (MOPT), la Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep), personeros de Casa Presidencial y la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) entre otras instituciones.
“Luego de sostener varias reuniones llegamos a un acuerdo para iniciar una comisión técnica de trabajo a partir del día miércoles 16 de junio, con dos mesas de temas que se irán abordando. Nos sentimos satisfechos porque esto le da tranquilidad a los usuarios de que van a recibir el servicio de transporte público y la importante del abordaje integral para ayudar al sector de transporte público”, indicó Manuel Vega Villalobos, director ejecutivo del CTP.
Entre los acuerdos alcanzados en la reunión se encuentran: instalar dos mesas de trabajo, una para abordar el tema financiero y otra sobre las cargas sociales, decreto de ampliación temporal sobre la vida útil de los taxis, atención prioritaria de vacunación de operadores del transporte público, revisar la metodología de tarifa de taxis y una directriz a la Policía de Tránsito para combatir el transporte ilegal.
