¿Trabaja el 2 de agosto? Así se lo deben pagar
Este feriado nacional mantiene su disfrute para el propio día lunes.
El Ministerio de Trabajo y Seguridad Social (MTSS) informó, por medio de un comunicado de prensa, la condición de pago de los trabajadores que laborarán el próximo lunes 2 de agosto Día de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles.
De acuerdo con el artículo 148 del Código de Trabajo este feriado es de pago no obligatorio, pero según indicó la cartera de Trabajo, como excepción, este 2 de agosto será de pago obligatorio para los trabajadores que reciban sus ingresos de forma mensual o con adelanto quincenal.
Además, el MTSS indicó que si se laboran horas extras durante los días feriados, en las empresas de pago mensual o con adelanto quincenal, se deben pagar a tiempo y medio doble, o sea pago triple.
“Aunque la empresa sea nacional, transnacional o internacional, tiene que conceder ese día feriado a las personas colaboradoras que trabajan en Costa Rica. Cualquier convenio sobre renuncia del disfrute de los feriados, es absolutamente nulo según el artículo 11 del Código de Trabajo”, aseguró el Ministerio.
