Suspenden Marcha de la Diversidad 2021 por Covid-19
“Nos vemos en el pride 2022 para abrazarnos y poder caminar por las principales calles de la capital con el pelo suelto”, indicó el movimiento Pride Costa Rica.
El movimiento Pride Costa Rica anunció este jueves que la doceava edición de la Marcha de la Diversidad se suspenderá a raíz de la emergencia sanitaria que vive el país por la Covid-19.
“Hoy más que nunca Costa Rica necesita ese compromiso personal que tiene el poder cambiarlo todo. Seguir los protocolos y poner todo de nuestra parte es y será nuestra prioridad, es nuestra marcha más importante”, informaron los organizadores del evento en Facebook.
“Es por eso que, posponemos la celebración y conmemoración del PRIDE 2021. Costa Rica lidera en la región centroamericana una lucha significativa y por esta y otras razones debemos asumir con responsabilidad los retos y compromisos que tenemos como sociedad”, agregaron.
Sobre la suspensión de la tradicional marcha aseguraron: “Tendremos mucho tiempo para celebrar y seguir la lucha en nuestras calles”.
Además, indicaron que este 2021 celebrarán: “Como sociedad, de una manera distinta, con diversas actividades a favor del medio ambiente, la incidencia política será fundamental en nuestra celebración. Y ahora más que nunca no podemos esconder nuestros colores ni volver al closet”.
“Hoy es el día para agruparnos como país y demostrar una vez más que en nuestro colectivo no existen intereses mezquinos, la empatía siempre ha sido y será nuestro estandarte”, añadieron.
El movimiento Pride Costa Rica, finalizó su comunicado de prensa extendiendo desde ya una invitación al Pride 2022: “Para abrazarnos y así poder caminar por las principales calles de la ciudad capital con el pelo suelto”.
