Sanción de hasta 6 años de cárcel para quienes usen menores en actividades delictivas
Una nueva propuesta de ley, avalada por la Comisión de Seguridad y Narcotráfico, establece que las personas que involucren a menores de edad en la comisión de delitos podrían enfrentar una pena de hasta seis años de prisión. Este proyecto, identificado como expediente 24.028, busca castigar a aquellos que recluten jóvenes para cometer actos delictivos, ya sea directa o indirectamente, a través de organizaciones criminales.
La diputada Alejandra Larios, miembro de dicha Comisión, explicó que esta iniciativa surgió tras una audiencia con Randall Zúñiga, director del Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ), quien expuso la necesidad de implementar medidas para frenar el uso de menores en crímenes.
Además, esta propuesta complementa otra impulsada por la diputada independiente Gloria Navas, que endurece las penas para adultos que participen en crímenes con menores. Es importante destacar que, incluso si el menor da su consentimiento, esto no eximirá de responsabilidad penal a la persona que lo reclute.
