Rodrigo Chaves reconoce a Edmundo González como presidente electo de Venezuela
El presidente de la República, Rodrigo Chaves, oficializó su reconocimiento de Edmundo González Urrutia como el presidente electo de Venezuela.
“¡Ánimo, presidente! Fuerza al pueblo de Venezuela. La voluntad del pueblo debe prevalecer. El Gobierno de Costa Rica está con ustedes”, afirmó Chaves tras recibir el agradecimiento de González.
Este último había respondido al mensaje de la Cancillería de Costa Rica, que subrayó que “es indiscutible que Edmundo González recibió el apoyo mayoritario del pueblo venezolano, y su voluntad soberana debe ser respetada”.
González comentó: “Recibimos con satisfacción el reconocimiento de Costa Rica a la voluntad soberana de los venezolanos, expresada en las urnas el pasado 28 de julio. Compartimos el compromiso de que la decisión popular sea completamente respetada en nuestra región”.
Junto a Costa Rica, países como Estados Unidos, Panamá, Ecuador, Perú, Argentina y Uruguay también han reconocido la victoria de Edmundo González Urrutia en las elecciones venezolanas, sobre Nicolás Maduro, proclamado ganador en medio de acusaciones de fraude.
