¿Qué esconden los outlets? Aduanas incauta toneladas de mercancías ilegales
Aduanas Decomisa 124 Toneladas de Mercancías para Outlets y Activa Nuevas Investigaciones
La Dirección General de Aduanas del Ministerio de Hacienda ha llevado a cabo una significativa operación de decomiso, retirando aproximadamente 124 toneladas métricas de mercancías importadas para outlets desde septiembre de 2022 hasta marzo del presente año. Este operativo ha revelado múltiples irregularidades en el cumplimiento del régimen aduanero.
Mercancías Involucradas y Medidas Tomadas
En un reciente comunicado, Aduanas detalló que estas mercancías infringieron diversas normativas aduaneras, motivo por el cual se procedió a su confiscación. Además, se han presentado dos denuncias ante el Ministerio Público relacionadas con presunta defraudación fiscal por parte de empresas especializadas en la importación de artículos tipo outlet, saldos o devoluciones. Asimismo, se han iniciado 22 procedimientos administrativos relacionados con estas irregularidades.
Cristian Montiel, Director General de Aduanas, explicó que hasta la fecha se han registrado 90 denuncias por diversos delitos, incluyendo defraudación fiscal, subfacturación y obstrucción de la información a las autoridades aduaneras. Estas denuncias han surgido a partir de los procesos de fiscalización y otras acciones llevadas a cabo por Aduanas.
Nuevas Estrategias y Capacitación
Montiel también mencionó que se están implementando nuevos procedimientos para la valoración de mercancías, así como capacitaciones destinadas a establecer criterios adecuados para el uso de las metodologías legales. Estas medidas buscan optimizar tanto el cobro de impuestos como la aplicación de penalidades correspondientes a delitos aduaneros.
El Ministerio de Hacienda ha habilitado el aplicativo DenuncieYa en su página web (www.hacienda.go.cr), disponible las 24 horas del día, los 7 días de la semana, para que los ciudadanos puedan presentar denuncias sobre posibles irregularidades.
