Presidente de Santa Ana RETRACTADO: ¿Qué dijo del VAR?
El presidente del Santa Ana FC, Johan Salas, ha dado un paso atrás tras sus críticas hacia el sistema de videoarbitraje (VAR), pidiendo disculpas públicamente. Luego de un tenso encuentro frente a Guanacasteca, donde dos goles de su equipo fueron anulados por fuera de juego, Salas expresó su descontento durante una entrevista con FUTV, lo que generó una oleada de comentarios.
En sus declaraciones iniciales, Salas no se guardó nada, señalando que mientras el VAR anulaba goles de Santa Ana, no actuaba en situaciones donde consideraba que también debió intervenir, como en una falta cometida contra el jugador Johan Condega. “¿No hay VAR para ver ese codazo? La tecnología debe beneficiar al fútbol, no perjudicarlo”, expresó molesto tras el encuentro.
Sin embargo, con el paso de las horas, y probablemente tras reflexionar sobre el impacto de sus palabras, el dirigente decidió publicar una carta de disculpas. En el comunicado, Salas reconoció que sus declaraciones habían sido producto de la frustración del momento y pidió disculpas por cualquier malentendido que pudiera haber generado.
“En medio de la derrota, mis comentarios no fueron los más apropiados. Como presidente de Santa Ana FC, me disculpo sinceramente por lo dicho acerca del VAR tras el partido contra Guanacasteca”, explicó en la misiva.
Un cambio de postura
A pesar de su enojo inicial, Salas quiso dejar en claro que el club está a favor del uso del VAR en el fútbol nacional, reconociendo su importancia para tomar decisiones justas. “Después de analizarlo con más calma, ratificamos nuestro apoyo al uso de esta tecnología. Sabemos que las decisiones del VAR son válidas y necesarias para el desarrollo del deporte”, agregó.
El jerarca finalizó su mensaje comprometiéndose a mantener una actitud de respeto hacia las decisiones arbitrales en futuros encuentros, independientemente de las situaciones que se presenten.
Este episodio resalta lo delicado que puede ser el uso del VAR en momentos clave de los partidos, pero también evidencia el compromiso de los equipos, como Santa Ana, de adaptarse y aceptar las resoluciones en pos de un juego más justo.
