Presidenta de la Caja enfrenta nuevas denuncias por millonario copago a privados
En un giro impactante, representantes del sector salud y sindicatos vinculados al Frente Nacional de Lucha (FNL) han desvelado dos nuevas denuncias dirigidas hacia Marta Eugenia Esquivel, presidenta ejecutiva de la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS).
Estas nuevas acusaciones, presentadas ante la Auditoría Interna de la Caja y la Contraloría General de la República (CGR), plantean serias inquietudes sobre un acuerdo controvertido emitido por una junta directiva cuestionada, donde se autorizaba la modalidad de copago para reducir las listas de espera.
Los denunciantes también cuestionan la falta de estudios técnicos que respalden la efectividad del copago, así como la ausencia de planes para hacer frente a las complicaciones médicas que puedan surgir de intervenciones externas. En este contexto, exigen la revocación de los acuerdos tomados por una junta directiva bajo sospecha, alegando que son perjudiciales para el interés público.
Las preocupaciones expresadas por los representantes de la salud han alcanzado su punto máximo, exigiendo la destitución de Esquivel, a quien consideran una amenaza para la seguridad social.
El debate continúa en torno a la presidencia de Esquivel, mientras los llamados a su renuncia cobran fuerza y las interrogantes sobre la gestión de la Caja persisten.
