Preocupación en el sector salud: Cerca de 700 especialistas podrían dejar la CCSS por condiciones laborales insatisfactorias
Un reciente sondeo llevado a cabo por el Sindicato Nacional de Médicos Especialistas (Siname) ha puesto en evidencia el creciente descontento entre los médicos especialistas que prestan sus servicios en la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS). De acuerdo con los resultados de esta encuesta, que involucró a 1.150 profesionales de la salud, un alarmante 60% de ellos (equivalente a 689 médicos) estaría considerando renunciar o cesar su nombramiento debido a lo que describen como «malas condiciones laborales.»
Este posible éxodo de especialistas médicos podría desencadenar una crisis en la prestación de servicios de salud, según advirtió Mario Quesada, presidente de Siname. Quesada destacó la gravedad de la situación al señalar que la CCSS no tendría la capacidad de reemplazar a un número tan significativo de profesionales altamente capacitados, lo que podría comprometer la atención médica a nivel nacional.
El descontento de los especialistas se centra en su deseo de migrar hacia un salario global definitivo, una aspiración que no ha sido atendida, a pesar de las múltiples advertencias emitidas por el sindicato desde la aprobación de la Ley Marco de Empleo Público. «Nos inquieta profundamente la posibilidad de una renuncia masiva de médicos. Siname ha intentado ser proactivo en la búsqueda de soluciones, pero la institución no ha respondido de manera favorable,» lamentó Quesada.
El sondeo también reveló que, aunque una parte considerable de los médicos especialistas estaría dispuesta a postergar una eventual renuncia si se llega a un acuerdo con la CCSS, más del 50% de ellos no esperaría más de seis meses para ver cambios significativos en sus condiciones laborales. Además, un grupo más reducido, pero significativo, compuesto por más del 5% de los encuestados, expresó que su decisión de cesar o renunciar es inminente, independientemente de cualquier negociación futura.
Entre las especialidades médicas más afectadas por esta potencial ola de renuncias se encuentran Anestesiología, Cirugía, Ginecología y Obstetricia, y Medicina. Particularmente preocupante es la situación en las áreas de Ortopedia y Anestesiología, donde menos del 30% de los especialistas estarían dispuestos a esperar los resultados de una negociación antes de tomar la decisión de dejar sus puestos.
El panorama descrito por este sondeo refleja un escenario complejo para la CCSS, que se enfrenta al reto de mejorar las condiciones laborales para retener a su valioso personal especializado y evitar una crisis en la atención de la salud pública.
