Personas que soliciten refugio en nuestro país ya no obtendrán permisos laborales de manera inmediata
Para renovar el permiso la persona debe estar inscrita ante la Caja Costarricense del Seguro Social (CCSS).
Según se dio a conocer este miércoles 30 de noviembre, el Poder Ejecutivo firmó un decreto que reforma el Reglamento de Refugio en Costa Rica, en el cual se establece que ahora se deberá cumplir con un procedimiento a lo interno de la Dirección General de Migración y Extranjería, para solicitar permisos laborales.
Dichos procedimientos se estarían dando a conocer en los próximos días, pero si trascendió que de ahora en adelante no se otorgarán permisos laborales inmediatos a solicitantes de refugio, tal como sucedía.
Además, en el decreto las autoridades establecieron que las personas a quienes ya les fueron otorgados los permisos, estos solo se les renovará si la o el interesado cuenta con la inscripción ante la Caja Costarricense del Seguro Social (CCSS).
Asimismo, la reforma del Reglamento de Refugio en Costa Rica, indica que toda nueva solicitud de protección internacional deberá ser presentada dentro de un mes natural a partir del día de su ingreso al país, sin necesidad de solicitar cita, deberá presentarse personalmente, además, de que la persona debe venir de su país de origen directamente, en caso de no ser así, esta tendría que justificar las razones por las cuales no solicitó la protección en el país en el que se encontraba antes de ingresar a suelo nacional.
También, se estableció que los que se encuentren en proceso de solicitud de refugio ya no podrán salir de Costa Rica por ningún motivo, mientras su solicitud este trámite, si incumplen esta regla, se manejara como abandono del proceso y se archivará en forma definitiva el caso.
Según informó la Dirección General de Migración y Extranjería, a la fecha han recibido más de 222.000 solicitudes de refugio, esto desde el 2018, de las cuales 172.689 se encuentran aún pendientes de resolver, esto debido a que la institución ha logrado detectar que entre un 80% y 90% de las personas solicitantes no califican dentro de la definición de esta protección internacional.
