Nuevo embarque de Pfizer-BioNTech con 198.900 mil dosis de vacunas anticovid llegó al país
Con este cargamento Costa Rica ha recibido en total 4.361.985 dosis de vacunas contra la Covid-19.
La noche de este jueves Costa Rica recibió 198.900 dosis contra el virus SARS-CoV-2, correspondientes al contrato de compra con la casa farmacéutica Pfizer/BioNTech.
De esta manera la empresa ha entregado ya 3.114.735 dosis de su contrato con el país, que es más de la mitad de lo convenido (6.001.125 dosis).
Las vacunas anticovid ingresaron a las 8:39 p. m. a Base 2 del Aeropuerto Internacional Juan Santamaría. Hasta la fecha el país ha recibido en total 4.361.985 dosis, siendo julio el mes en que más vacunas se han recibido con 1.368.300 dosis.
De las 4.361.985 dosis recibidas, 3.858.885 han sido por contratos de compra (3.114.735 compradas a Pfizer/BioNTech, 571.200 dosis que se adquirieron con AstraZeneca y 172.950 por medio del mecanismo multilateral COVAX) y 503.100 vacunas por donación directa del Gobierno de los Estados Unidos.
De acuerdo con datos suministrados por la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS), más de la mitad de la población (2.573.189) ya cuenta con al menos una dosis de la vacuna contra la Covid-19.
Asimismo, julio fue el mes en que más vacunas se aplicaron (983.893), superando a junio que era el mes con más vacunas inyectadas.
En total, la CCSS ha aplicado un acumulado de 3.424.278 dosis hasta la semana anterior, de las cuales 2.573.189 (el 50% de la población total costarricense) corresponden a primeras dosis y 851.089 a personas con su esquema de vacunación completo.
