En los últimos meses, los ticos se han mostrado muy interesados en la astronomía.
En los últimos meses, los ticos se han mostrado muy interesados en la astronomía, en especial desde que se enteraron que varios eventos se logran percibir con claridad desde Costa Rica.
Son seis los eventos que podrá disfrutar, de acuerdo con Homer Dávila, creador del portal de ciencias astronómicas SkyCR.org.
Puede comenzar a marcar en su agenda los diferentes sucesos que ocurrirán este mes. ¡No se los pierda!
9 de noviembre:
Conjunción de La Luna y Venus. Venus con una magnitud de -4,3 desaparecerá detrás de la Luna la cual estará en una magnitud de -10, 5 en la constelación de Virgo. En Costa Rica el evento se podrá ver a las 10:34 p.m.
Tanto la Luna como Venus son los objetos celestes más brillantes. Venus se ocultará por la Luna.
Pese a que los objetos se verán a simple vista, se recomienda llevar un telescopio o unos prismáticos para tener una mejor visión.
13 de noviembre:
Luna Nueva, la Luna estará entre la tierra y el Sol, por lo que no podrá ser vista ya que su lado brillante estará orientado en dirección contraria a la tierra. En Luna nueva es ideal para observar y fotografiar a cielo profundo.
La Luna se podrá observar en su esplendor a las 9:27 p.m.
14 de noviembre:
Ocurrirá la oposición del planeta Urano a las 00:32 a.m. cuando Urano alcance su oposición. El planeta brillará con una magnitud de 5,6 en la constelación de Aries. En su momento más grande y brillante Urano seguirá siendo difícil de observar por lo que es mejor buscarlo al menos con un telescopio. El planeta estará en la mejor posición para observarlo alrededor de la medianoche.
17 y 18 de noviembre:
Lluvia de estrellas de las Leónidas, el cometa asociado a esta lluvia de meteoros es 55 p Temple-Tuttle, si bien el número de meteoros es bajo, ya que son 10 meteoros por hora puede intentar divisarla desde el viernes 17 a medianoche.
Alcanzará su punto máximo alrededor del sábado 18, deberá buscar su punto radiante en la Constelación de Leo poco antes de la medianoche.
25 de noviembre:
Conjunción de la Luna y Júpiter. Júpiter pasa a 2,5º al sur de la Luna.
27 de noviembre:
Luna Llena. La Luna estará del lado opuesto de la Tierra, es decir que el Sol ilumina por completo. A esta luna se le llama Luna Llena del Castor y se verá en su esplendor a las 9:16 p.m.
