Más de 700 estudiantes de medicina están rezagados por suspensión de prueba para internado
Los alumnos realizarán una manifestación este viernes para presionar a la CCSS y al Cendeisss a fijar una fecha para la realización del examen.
Un grupo de estudiantes de la carrera de Medicina y Cirugía de distintas universidades públicas y privadas del país se manifestarán este viernes para exigir a las autoridades de la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) y del Centro de Desarrollo Estratégico e Información en Salud y Seguridad Social (Cendeisss) que establezcan una fecha fija para la realización del examen para internado en Medicina.
Para ingresar al Internado Rotatorio Universitario en los centros hospitalarios del país, que es el último año de carrera de los jóvenes, se debe aprobar un examen conocido como International Foundations of Medicine (IFOM por sus siglas en inglés), una prueba que define si es estudiante tiene las aptitudes necesarias para ingresar al internado.
“Durante todo este tiempo, hemos enviado varios oficios a la CCSS y al Cendeisss , manifestando nuestra preocupación ante dicha situación, y hemos recibido siempre la misma respuesta de que aún no se cuenta con una fecha exacta para la realización del examen. De igual forma, nos han mencionado que es un examen que implica una logística bastante compleja y que debido a la emergencia nacional que nos encontramos viviendo por la pandemia de la Covid-19, no se cuenta con suficiente espacio físico para la realización del mismo”, aseguró Fernando González uno de los voceros del movimiento de los futuros médicos.
A la fecha son más de 700 los estudiantes que tienen más de 18 meses esperando por la realización del examen que les ayude a concluir no solo sus estudios sino a realizarse como profesionales. Por eso los alumnos realizarán una manifestación este viernes para presionar a la CCSS y al CENDEISSS a fijar una fecha para la realización del examen.
La marcha que realizarán los estudiantes de Medicina iniciará este viernes 6 de agosto a las 7:15 a.m. en el Hospital del Trauma hacia el Cendeisss en San José. Se tomarán todos los protocolos y lineamientos emitidos para la prevención de la Covid-19. Distancia de 1.8 metros, toma de temperatura, mascarilla, y alcohol en gel.
«Estamos cansados y agobiados por no recibir respuestas, por eso decidimos realizar una marcha pacífica con el fin de ser escuchados para poder ser tomados en cuenta. Lo que pedimos es una fecha fija para la realización del examen así como el tipo de examen que se nos va a aplicar”, concluyó González.
