El Ministerio de Educación, Cultura, Deportes, Ciencia y Tecnología de Japón tiene becas disponibles para que universitarios y docentes costarricenses de primaria y secundaria estudien en ese país asiático.
La noticia fue dada a conocer por la Embajada de Japón en Costa Rica.
El propósito de las becas es apoyar a los costarricenses que busquen mejorar su comprensión del idioma japonés y sumergirse en la cultura japonesa.
Hay dos modalidades de becas: la “Teacher Training”, dirigida a docentes de educación primaria y secundaria; y la “Japanese Studies Student” dirigida a estudiantes universitarios cuyos campos de estudio tengan relación alguna con la lengua o cultura.
Las becas ofrecidas son completas, esto quiere decir que cubren los gastos de educación, de tiquete aéreo, de hospedaje y demás gastos en los que se pueda incurrir durante el periodo de estudio.
El programa de “Teacher Training” tiene una duración de un año y medio (de octubre de 2024 a marzo de 2026) para un curso inicial de 6 meses para aprender japonés y un año de perfeccionamiento en el área solicitada.
Por otro lado la beca para estudiantes tiene una duración aproximada de un año (entre octubre 2024 y septiembre 2025).
