La Alianza Evangélica advierte: Detención de pastor daña la imagen de las iglesias
Este martes, el arresto del pastor de apellidos Barboza Pilarte, como parte de un operativo del Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ), ha encendido las alarmas en la comunidad evangélica costarricense. La captura se realizó en el marco de una serie de allanamientos contra una presunta red criminal que, según las autoridades, estaría involucrada en el lavado de dinero procedente del narcotráfico. Barboza es señalado como un posible miembro de este grupo delictivo, el cual posee propiedades en varias partes del país.
Impacto en la Comunidad Evangélica
La Federación Alianza Evangélica Costarricense (FAEC) emitió un pronunciamiento en el que expresa su rechazo absoluto a cualquier tipo de vínculo entre sus líderes y actividades ilegales, como el lavado de dinero o el crimen organizado. Señalaron que incidentes como este perjudican gravemente la reputación de las iglesias evangélicas y su congregación en general.
«Rechazamos de manera contundente cualquier participación de nuestros líderes en actos ilícitos, especialmente aquellos vinculados al crimen organizado. Este tipo de situaciones afecta profundamente la imagen de las iglesias y nuestra comunidad», manifestaron en su comunicado.
Aclaración Importante
La FAEC subrayó que ni Barboza Pilarte ni la iglesia que él dirigía están afiliados a su organización, intentando así distanciarse de los hechos que han causado gran revuelo en el país. A pesar de esto, la detención del pastor ha generado preocupación por el daño colateral que podría sufrir la comunidad evangélica, ya que eventos de este tipo pueden empañar la imagen de otras congregaciones que sí forman parte de la federación.
Una investigación en curso
El operativo llevado a cabo por el OIJ es parte de una investigación que sigue en curso, en la que Barboza Pilarte está acusado de colaborar con una organización criminal que presuntamente obtenía grandes sumas de dinero a través del tráfico de drogas y luego lo blanqueaba por medio de diversas transacciones en el país. Las autoridades continúan indagando para esclarecer la magnitud del caso y las conexiones del pastor con dicha red.
La comunidad evangélica, por su parte, espera que la justicia siga su curso y que cualquier relación entre líderes religiosos y actividades ilegales sea debidamente castigada, para proteger la integridad y credibilidad de las iglesias en Costa Rica.
