Fiscala general se inhibe de investigación por “caso Cochinilla”

La fiscala general, Emilia Navas Aparicio se inhibió de participar en la investigación del “caso Cochinilla”.
Francisco Campos, esposo de Navas, es abogado representante de una de las empresas implicadas en la aparente red de corrupción allanada la mañana de este lunes.
En el documento, Navas también manifestó que no se inhibió antes del proceso porque desconocía que la fiscalía anticorrupción estuviera desarrollando dicha investigación ya que labora con total transparencia.
“Caso Cochinilla”
La Fiscalía General de la República en conjunto con el Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) realizó la mañana de este lunes 57 allanamientos, incluyendo Casa Presidencial, el Ministerio de Obras Públicas y Transportes (MOPT) y el Consejo Nacional de Vialidad (Conavi).
La investigación se decanta por los delitos de asociación ilícita, peculado, cohecho, malversación, tráfico de influencias y otros comportamientos delictivos informó Espinoza.
Al parecer los encargados de las constructoras ofrecieron dinero, carros, viajes y hasta favores sexuales.
Hasta el momento 29 personas han sido detenidas por el caso.
¿Por qué se le llama “caso Cochinilla”?
Las autoridades judiciales bautizaron el megaoperativo anticorrupción realizado este lunes en 57 puntos del país como “caso Cochinilla”. Así lo confirmaron al portal de noticias Teletica.com.
El nombre hace alusión a un insecto «chupador» que se esconde en zonas poco visibles de las plantas. Esta plaga hace daño de forma silenciosa: las cochinillas están quietas, camufladas, pero al mismo tiempo se alimentan de la savia de la planta.
Mientras trabajan en silencio transmiten enfermedades que debilitan a las plantas.
La investigación denominada «Cochinilla», inició en el 2019 luego de recibir informaciones confidenciales.
