Expertos pronostican que para el mes de julio el fenómeno del Niño estaría impactando al país
Su impacto se prevé de julio a diciembre del presente año.
Los expertos del Instituto Meteorológico Nacional (IMN), desde ya advierten a la población costarricense que para el mes de julio, sobre el territorio nacional, ya estaría impactando el fenómeno del Niño.
Asimismo indicaron que durante este mes de marzo, acabaría la influencia del fenómeno de la Niña que impactó al país durante el año pasado y principios de este.
Además, los expertos expresaron que si bien es cierto en Costa Rica el fenómeno del niño produce disminución de lluvias, puede traer precipitaciones un poco más intensas en ciertas zonas como en la vertiente del Caribe.
Es decir en julio y agosto el país tendrían excedentes de lluvia en el Caribe Sur, Caribe Norte y Zona Norte Oriental; así como lluvias consideradas normales en la vertiente del Pacífico, Valle Central y Zona Norte Occidental.
Por su parte el IMN indicó que inició el sistema de vigilancia, pero que esto no es una garantía de 100% de que El Niño ocurra, sin embargo, si expresaron que actualmente se observan precursores típicos que favorecen su desarrollo.
