Ex primera dama Josette Altmann recibe el premio “Mujer de la Década”
La costarricense recibió el galardón en el Women Economic Forum.
La ex primera dama Josette Altmann-Borbón fue distinguida este jueves 11 de noviembre por el Women Economic Forum (WEF) con el premio “Mujer de la Década en la esfera pública y liderazgo”.
Altmann fue primera dama de la República durante la administración de José María Figueres (1994-1998), actualmente se desempeña como Secretaria General de la Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO).
“Requerimos un proyecto de humanidad, para poder enfrentar los grandes desafíos globales, y el más importante el cambio climático que pone en riesgo nuestra propia existencia”, agregó.
El WEF es el evento más grande a nivel mundial en temas relacionados con el liderazgo y empoderamiento femenino. Se trata de una plataforma multinacional que cuenta con más de 250 mil miembros en 150 países. Este año el evento se lleva a cabo por primera vez en Ecuador.
Trayectoria
Fue Coordinadora Regional de Cooperación Internacional e Investigación y Directora del Observatorio de Integración Regional Latinoamericana (2016-2012). Es Miembro en los Consejos Asesores de la Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (OEI) y del Consejo Asesor del Knowledge and Innovation Exchange Initiative for Latin America and the Caribbean (KIX-LAC).
En el campo de la academia, la Dra. Altmann-Borbón ha dictado conferencias en las áreas de su especialidad en diversos países del mundo, y ha escrito o editado más de 90 publicaciones, incluyendo 15 libros, 31 capítulos en libros y 39 artículos académicos.
