Viajar a Disneyland es un sueño para muchas familias costarricenses, pero este anhelo viene con un costo significativo. De acuerdo con Priscilla Agüero, una agente certificada de Disney, solo en septiembre más de 250 familias ticas se dirigirán a este famoso destino en Orlando, Florida. Sin embargo, la experiencia tiene un precio: un viaje de una semana puede costar en promedio $1,800 por persona, lo que se traduce en casi un millón de colones.
Los tiquetes aéreos, uno de los principales gastos, varían entre $300 y $400, dependiendo de la aerolínea, escalas y preferencias del viajero. Una vez en Orlando, los turistas pueden moverse utilizando plataformas digitales o alquilar un auto, con un costo semanal aproximado de $350.
El hospedaje también influye en el presupuesto. Los hoteles dentro de Disney ofrecen beneficios como acceso temprano a los parques y filas rápidas, mientras que un alojamiento más económico fuera del complejo puede rondar los $450 por semana.
En cuanto a la alimentación, los restaurantes de comida rápida suelen cobrar alrededor de $15 por plato, lo que suma $210 por dos comidas diarias durante la semana. Además, las entradas a los parques también representan un gasto considerable: el acceso a Walt Disney World cuesta $145 por día, mientras que disfrutar de Universal Studios, hogar de atracciones como Harry Potter y Spiderman, tiene un valor de $185 por entrada.
Un dato relevante es que el 24% de quienes visitan estos parques temáticos terminan endeudándose, ya sea por medio de tarjetas de crédito, préstamos personales o incluso hipotecas.
