Un sismo le sacó un susto a más de uno la tarde de este jueves.
El movimiento telúrico tuvo una magnitud de 5.0 grados con epicentro 2 kilómetros al Noreste de Playa Matapalo de Aguirre, reportó el Observatorio Vulcanológico y Sismológico de Costa Rica (OVSICORI).
El temblor ocurrió a las 5:50 p.m. y su profundidad fue de 47 kilómetros.
El origen del movimiento se debió a la deformación interna de la Placa de Coco, informó la entidad.
De acuerdo con reportes que llegaron a la sala de redacción de NCR Noticias Costa Rica, el sismo fue percibido como “fuerte y rápido” en Heredia, Puntarenas, Alajuela y San José.
Hasta el momento, la Comisión Nacional de Emergencias (CNE) no reporta incidentes.
