El Gobierno de Estados Unidos anunció este viernes una donación de vacunas anticovid para Costa Rica. Se espera que las dosis del fármaco lleguen al país la próxima semana.
Así lo dio a conocer Gloria Berbena, Encargada de Negocios de Estados Unidos en Costa Rica en su cuenta de Twitter.
Berbena no detalló cantidades, ni la casa farmacéutica de la vacuna, pero se podría tratar de la vacuna de Johnson & Johnson que la administración de Joe Biden anunció hace unas semanas que empezaría a donar a países en el continente.
Sobre el anuncio, el mandatario Carlos Alvarado aseguró: “Agradecemos este anuncio que reafirma la solidaridad y el apoyo de los Estados Unidos. Los equipos técnicos de ambos países han trabajado codo a codo para hacerla posible. Nuestros países reafirman su histórica relación bilateral y su compromiso de trabajar juntos”.
