“Es falso que se quiera cerrar las ferias del agricultor”: Ministro del MAG
“Este proyecto lo único que busca es transparentar la toma de decisiones y fortalecer las ferias del agricultor”, manifestó Victor Carvajal.
El jerarca del ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG), Victor Carvajal, despejó las críticas manifestadas por algunos sectores respecto al proyecto vinculado a las ferias del agricultor, presentado por la diputada oficialista, Ada Acuña.
“Ante la campaña de desinformación lanzada desde la Junta Nacional de Ferias diciendo que el presidente de la República, Rodrigo Chaves, presentó un proyecto de ley para cerrar las ferias de agricultor o acabar con ellas queremos ser categóricos con esto: eso es completamente falso”, manifestó Carvajal.
“Los señores y señoras diputadas que presentaron el proyecto que es firmado por Ada Acuña, también por el presidente de la Comisión de Agropecuarios, otros diputados y que recibió el acompañamiento del Ministerio en su formulación lo único que busca es transparentar la toma de decisiones y fortalecer las ferias del agricultor con la incorporación en un órgano público de tal manera que las cuentas y los ingresos puedan ser transparentes para todas las personas y salir del espacio de oscuridad donde estamos hoy donde no hay acceso a la información y no hay forma de defensa de productores que quedan en indefensión ante acciones de la Junta Nacional de Ferias”, agregó.
Además, el jerarca de MAG indicó: “No estamos tampoco promoviendo el cierre de las Juntas Regionales ni estamos promoviendo el cierre de centros agrícolas cantonales más bien buscamos todo lo contrario y es fortalecerla por medio de mecanismos adecuados para promoción y fiscalización de todo el Sistema Nacional de Ferias del Agricultor”.
