En el corazón de una UCI: el vídeo de la CCSS que busca generar conciencia
La Caja publicó un estremecedor video que busca dar a conocer lo que se vive al interior de una Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI).
La UCI es el lugar donde se interna a los pacientes covid en estado crítico y donde se requiere más cantidad de equipos y recurso humano.
Desde el 27 de abril anterior, el país atraviesa una situación crítica con los espacios UCI.
En una de las puertas de vidrio se lee un rótulo que dice “recuperado” que indica que la persona que está dentro de ese cubículo ya superó el cuadro de Covid-19.
Costa Rica tiene equipo y personal médico suficiente para atender a 359 pacientes en UCI simultáneamente.
Ese es el número óptimo, que asegura atención médica personalizada, un espacio en una cama UCI y el acceso a los equipos tecnológicos para cuidar a quienes enferman de forma crítica o severa.
Si bien es cierto se pueden habilitar más camas en UCI, como ocurre en estos momentos, el personal médico no sería suficiente.
Para este lunes 10 de mayo, el total de personas en UCI era de 454, casi 100 más de lo recomendado por los equipos sanitarios.
Por medio de este video la CCSS le solicita a la población acatar las medidas de bioseguridad para hacer frente a la Covid-19.
