El último fin de semana de septiembre fue el menos mortal en años.
Según un informe reciente de la Cruz Roja Costarricense, el último fin de semana de septiembre se ha destacado por ser el menos mortal de todo el mes. Durante el periodo comprendido entre el 28 y el 29 de septiembre, se reportaron únicamente 13 fallecimientos, lo que representa una notable disminución en comparación con otros fines de semana del mismo mes.
El desglose de las muertes reportadas revela las circunstancias trágicas detrás de cada caso. Se registraron tres muertes relacionadas con agresiones por arma de fuego o arma blanca, mientras que un fallecimiento fue causado por urgencias traumáticas. Además, las colisiones viales se cobraron la vida de cinco personas, y una muerte fue atribuida a intoxicación.
La Cruz Roja no solo se congratula por esta disminución, sino que también hace un llamado a la ciudadanía. Monserrat Quirós, portavoz de la organización, recordó la importancia de adoptar medidas de precaución en las carreteras para garantizar la seguridad de todos.
Este último fin de semana ha demostrado que es posible reducir las tragedias, y la Cruz Roja espera que esta tendencia continúe en el futuro.
